This policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and safeguard information when you browse the directory, submit a tool for review, or buy submission credits (collectively, the "Services"). Protecting your privacy is core to how we build the product.

We collect information to run and improve SeekAIs, keep the directory reliable, review submissions, and process purchases. The categories below describe what we collect and why.

Account Information
- What We Collect: Name, email address, password, locale, and any profile details you choose to share when signing up.
- Purpose: To create and authenticate your SeekAIs account, provide customer support, and send service-related notices such as receipts and policy updates.

Submission Data
- What We Collect: The tool name, URL, and account email associated with a submission; publicly available page metadata we fetch from that URL (such as the page title, description, and preview image); review notes; and the submission's status history.
- Purpose: To preview, review, publish, and maintain directory listings, and to answer questions about your submission. We do not upload or process files from your device as part of a submission.

Usage & Diagnostic Data
- What We Collect: Directory searches, listing clicks, pages viewed, session duration, referring URLs, language preferences, in-app feedback, and crash or error logs.
- Purpose: To understand how people use the directory, fix problems, improve performance, and decide what to build next.

Device & Technical Data
- What We Collect: Device type, operating system, browser version, IP address, timezone, and approximate location inferred from IP address.
- Purpose: To secure the platform, prevent fraud and abuse, ensure compatibility across devices, and localize experiences such as language-specific pages.

Cookies & Similar Technologies
- What We Collect: Cookie identifiers, web beacons, and pixel tags set by SeekAIs or by trusted partners we work with.
- Purpose: To keep you signed in, remember your preferences, measure campaign performance, and understand where our visitors come from.

Payment Information
- What We Collect: Billing name, email address, address, tax or VAT identifiers where required, and limited payment method details. Payments are handled directly by our payment processors, Creem and Waffo, and we do not receive or store your full card number.
- Purpose: To process your one-time purchases of credit packs, prevent fraud, and keep the accounting and tax records we are required to keep.
We use the information described above for the following purposes, each tied to a lawful basis under data protection law where that law applies:
- To provide the Services (performance of a contract): Operate the directory, review and publish listings, and manage your account and credits.
- To process purchases (performance of a contract and legal obligation): One-time, pay-as-you-go credit pack purchases in USD are processed by Creem and Waffo. Waffo Pancake acts as Merchant of Record for relevant purchases and handles payment and taxes.
- To support and secure the platform (legitimate interests): Customer support, fraud prevention, abuse detection, debugging, logging, and service security.
- To communicate with you (performance of a contract, or consent where required): Service messages such as receipts, submission reviews, security alerts, and policy changes. Marketing messages are sent only where we are allowed to, and you can opt out at any time.
- To improve the product (legitimate interests, or consent where required): Aggregated or anonymized usage analysis and improvements to the directory.
- To comply with legal obligations (legal obligation): Tax, accounting, record-keeping, and responses to lawful requests.
Where we rely on consent as the lawful basis, you may withdraw that consent at any time, as described in Your Privacy Rights.
We keep information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required by law:
- Account information: Kept while your account is active, and deleted within 30 days after you delete your account.
- Submission data and review records: Kept while the listing is published and for up to 24 months after it is removed or rejected, so we can handle appeals and demonstrate compliance.
- Usage and diagnostic logs: Kept for up to 90 days.
- Billing and tax records: Kept for as long as required by applicable law (for example, up to 7 years).
Once a retention period ends, we delete the data or anonymize it so it no longer identifies you.
We store data in secure cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit and at rest, strict access controls, logging, and routine security reviews. Access to personal information is limited to team members and providers who need it to do their work. While we work to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
SeekAIs operates globally, so information may be processed in countries
other than your own, including where our hosting, email delivery, analytics, and
payment providers operate. Where your personal data is transferred across
borders and data protection law requires safeguards, we use appropriate measures
such as standard contractual clauses and comparable protections to keep your
information protected.
We never sell your personal information. We may share data only:
- Service Providers: With vetted vendors who help us host infrastructure, process payments, send emails, analyze usage, or provide customer support, each bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations. These include:
- Payment processors: Creem and Waffo. Waffo Pancake acts as Merchant of Record for relevant purchases and handles payment and taxes.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers that run our servers, database, storage, and delivery network.
- Email delivery providers that send transactional messages such as receipts and notices.
- Analytics providers that help us understand aggregated usage of the Services.
- Legal & Safety Requirements: When required by law, regulation, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of SeekAIs, our users, or the public.
- Business Transfers: In connection with mergers, acquisitions, or financing, provided the receiving party agrees to continue protecting your data consistent with this policy.
We do not send your account or submission data to the operators of the tools listed in the directory. Clicking through to a listed tool takes you to that operator's own website, where their privacy policy applies.
Depending on where you live, you have rights over your personal information. Where laws such as the GDPR (for users in the EEA and UK) or the CCPA/CPRA (for California residents) apply to you, those rights include:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction: Ask us to fix inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Deletion: Ask us to delete your personal information, subject to the legal exceptions described in Data Retention.
- Portability: Receive your information in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format.
- Restriction: Ask us to limit how we use your information while a dispute is resolved.
- Objection: Object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time.
- Withdrawal of Consent: Withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent, without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.
- Opt-out of Marketing: Unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in each message, or by contacting us.
How to exercise your rights: Email hi@seekais.com and tell us which right you want to use. We may need to verify your identity before we act on a request, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law.
No discrimination: We will not deny you services, charge you different prices, or provide a different level of service because you exercised a privacy right.
Appeals: If you are not satisfied with our response, you can reply to our message and ask us to review the decision, or contact your local data protection authority where applicable.
We and our trusted partners use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, measure traffic, and, where permitted, deliver marketing. You can control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them. Most browsers let you clear cookies at any time. If you disable some cookies, parts of the Services, such as staying signed in, may not work as expected. Where required by law, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies.
The Services are not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact hi@seekais.com and we will delete it. To submit a listing or make a purchase, you must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher.
We may update this policy to reflect changes to our products, practices, or legal requirements. We will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you by email or in-app notice before the changes take effect. Continuing to use the Services after changes become effective means you accept the revised policy.
